History by the Highway Bus Tour @ the New York Mills Public Library

Missy Hermes, Education Coordinator for the Otter Tail County Historical Society, shares historical tales at several locations on a guided bus tour throughout Otter Tail County. The excursion is inspired by Hermes’ “History by the Highway” live-streamed video series.

Seats are limited and registration is required, beginning August 1. Stop by or call the library to sign up.

The bus will leave New York Mills at 9:30 am and return at approximately 4:00 pm. The specific route and featured locations will not be announced in advance. Participants are asked to bring a bag lunch and be prepared for the day’s weather conditions. There will be some walking involved. This program is intended for adults interested in learning more about local history. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This program is sponsored by New York Mills Public Library and Viking Library System, funded in part or in whole with monies from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
