Crayon Recycling Center at the Douglas County Library

With guidance from Battle Lake-based artist Kathrine McDowell, participants crush, melt, and mold old crayons into usable works of art to foster creative reuse and environmental awareness.

This drop-in artmaking program is for kids and teens of all ages interested in activities with crayons. Stop in anytime from 2:00 pm-4:30 pm to take part in the activities! No registration is required.

This program is supported by grants from West Central Initiative and the Minnesota State Arts Board, made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
